Zynga wants to friend China's social network
International social game developers are eager to cash in on the world's fastest-growing social network community.
In June, Andy Lee, managing director of Kabam Asia, a California-based developer of the online game Dragons of Atlantis, said the company is planning to enter the Chinese market this year.
In an interview with Netease, a local Internet portal, Lee said Kabam has kept in close contact with some domestic social network platforms and may consider acquiring experienced game developers.
But San Francisco-based Zynga, the developer behind CityVille, has already moved in on the lucrative market.
Last month, Zygna and Tencent announced the launch of Zynga City, the Chinese version of CityVille.
